This is the third version of this project, using the same basic imagery, but regenerating it with the latest technology to improve the visual quality • The idea is that AI is coming to save us instead of kill us • The original images were generated in 2022 with locally run Stable Diffusion • I have continued to use the original primitive generations as the style reference for the subsequent versions • Creating twin characters whenever the frame has a horizontal aspect ratio was a very common error with the early AI, but I decided to run with it and make it be a motif in the piece • I performed all production tasks

I made this project out of frustration with the character designs in Pixar's “Cars”  •  In my opinion, the front of a car already forms a face without putting eyes on the window  •  I performed all production tasks  •  I entirely 3D modeled this truck from scratch and used multiple 3D renders as references to create the consistent AI generations of the truck.

Studio promo film pixelsgarden

The project was a studio promo animated short intended to achieve Western CGI production values for the Vietnamese local market • It was fully pre-visualized and animated in 3-D then AI was used as style transfer to create the final render based on a single fully realized frame with 3d fur groomed and full geometry foliage with volumetric light in the background • This was a vast time savings because the single frame took an hour to render • I performed all production tasks including sound • Remote work

two gates of sleep

These assets were made in 2008 for photoreal integration into an independant live action feature film drama called “Two gates of sleep”, which was a selection of Cannes Directors Fortnight • They were used far from the camera in dark lighting so they didn't have to be that detailed • At the time suitable premade assets were not available for cheap, so they had me do it, as part of doing the complete VFX for the shots the characters were used in • Because it was an art film being directed by a friend from RISD, I lowered my rate and wore many hats • Onsite work in NYC
